changing seasons

The weather has been crazy in Chicago lately. There was news for a snowstorm last weekend, but there was  no bits of white in sight. It's usually bright & sunny in the mornings and incredibly gloomy towards the afternoon. I remember March last year, when it was warm enough to wear shorts. Now, I still need to have
my scarf in handy to go outside. I wonder when I can put away the scarf...

I think I now understand why people say that your style matures. I definitely saw my wardrobe change the couple of months, and I think it found its true colours. Comfort is key and simplicity is the best. I love accented items but simple clothing items make an outfit complete. I can't see myself without a loose fitting white tee (like an Alexander Wang inspired shirt) , booties, and a cardigan (an over-sized one is the best). Letting my hair be in its natural form completes my outfit too. It's effortless, yet you put enough effort into it to make it look like that.

I hope everyone is having a blast on Spring Break, I know I am. This is a break well needed. Sadly, school starts soon but I only have a month or so until graduation! So excited to finally graduate high school. It feels like I was a freshman yesterday..thank goodness I'm not, haha.

lately...

Hello all! I'm so incredibly sorry for not posting for over a month...oh man. I guess school has been a priority for me lately but now I'm a second semester senior! Awe, yeah. That means I'll be posting more regularly from now on.

Remember when I said my style is ever-changing  Well..I'm still stuck in the black & white zone. I've been attracted to burgundy and many pastel colors, but I don't really wear them. I love the colors, but it's odd how I have nothing that is that color. I wonder if the weather of Chicago is influencing my taste in colors...I
really hope my palette turns more colorful as the weather gets warmer.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love neutrals: browns, blacks, greys, whites. But, I feel like it makes me look bland? Or, boyish? I've just been trying to adjust my style; a mix of "grunge", "bohemian", and "street". Haha, is that too much? I know that my style should be whatever I want it to be, but I've been having "fashion" block (a fashion version of writer's block, duh) and it's incredibly frustrating during the school week.

Not going to lie, the weekends are the most stress-free because I don't have to worry about my outfits. But you know how when you throw things together during the week it looks terrible, but, when you throw anything together on the weekends it looks amazing? Yeah, that's my life. These pictures kind of reflect my style right now. Simple yet something charming about them. Am I the only one who thinks Europe cities are breathtaking? Because they definitely are.

How do you define your style?

a little something different

So, this isn't the normal fashion/music post, but I had to make this post. I was always the girl who preferred comedies or chick flicks but lately, those have been boring for me. I've been loving action/superhero movies. Why? Well, there's many reasons why. 1) Superheros are so bad-ass and 2) the incredibly attractive actors who play them and the enemies as well. For example, I wasn't a big fan of Batman, well I liked the Dark Knight because Heath Ledger was amazing in that movie, but Batman wasn't something I would want to see. After seeing The Dark Knight Rises...oh my god. If you haven't seen this movie, you're definitely missing out. I want to give Christopher Nolan all the awards because this movie was so well made. Christian Bale is an incredible actor, and so is Anne Hathaway along with Tom Hardy (oh yum). I looooove Tom Hardy at the moment, his accent, and technically Bane's, is so awesome. Also, I had a little fan-girl moment when Cillian Murphy made an appearance; I absolutely love him too. Hah, this whole post is just me going on about my love for these actors. But, yeah, lately I've been loving the superhero movies like: Thor (just saw that yesterday), Spiderman, and obviously Batman. I'm finally going to watch The Avengers today, and I bet that'll be on my favorites as well. -jenny

p.s. this seems like a chunky post, sorry haha ;)
